ABOUT

JOEY ARIA

Joey Aria is a pro scooter coach and a true veteran of the sport. He has been riding for over half of his life (about 20 years to be exact) and has worked with several notable scooter companies including Fuzion, Raptor, French ID, SHOPECX, and more. He has designed scooter parts, produced numerous full-length scooter videos, and organized scooter events. Although he has lived all over the country, he is a Sacramento native.

He became interested in freestyle scootering when he saw a commercial for Razor scooters in 2001. All it took was a clip of someone doing a Tailwhip and ending with a 1-800 number over a blue screen.
He started borrowing his friend's scooter, until he got one of his own and began learning new tricks and spending entire days riding. He was hooked!
Many years later, after retiring from riding professionally, Joey founded Valor Scootering Co. in 2021 as a way to give back by helping kids pursue their love for scootering.

Valor Scootering Co. is owned and operated by Joey Aria.
